Demonstrate outside Downing Street, 24th July 6-8 pm to release Binyam   Print
by Naeem

On the 24th July 2008, Binyam will be thirty. He would have spent six years in illegal american custody. He has been at Guantanamo since September 2004. He spent seven years of his life in UK. He came here as a child seeking asylum with his family. The British government has documentary evidence that proves Binyam was a victim of extraordinary rendition. This evidence could see his release from Guantanamo but the British administration refuses to disclose evidence. We urge Gordon Brown to act ethically and meet his obligation as prime minister to help Binyam secure his release. Binyam is facing a military tribunal at Guantanamo on charges that could see him executed.

The London Guantanamo Campaign has organised a demonstration outside Downing Street to mark Binyam's birthday and to help secure his release from illegal detention at Guantanamo. The domenstratio nis scheduled for the 24th July 2008, 6.00 to 8.00 pm. Nearest tube station Westminster. For details see the video by clicking the link below
