Film Showing on Rendition torture and the War on Terror   Print

Outlawed - extraordinary rendition, torture and disappearance in the war on terror
7.30pm 16 Nov Augustine Church, George IV Bridge Edinburgh

We'll mark the 4th anniversary of the kidnap and detention at Guantanamo Bay of British residents Bisher El-Rawi and Jamil El-Banna by screening  the documentary "Outlawed - extraordinary rendition, torture and disappearance in the war on terror"
The film tells the stories Khaled El-Masri and Binyan Mohamed, two victims of torture and rendition. Binyan Mohamed is one of the British residents still  held at Guantanamo Bay.

The screening will be followed by a panel discussion.

Panellists include
Craig Murray, former British Ambassador to Uzbekistan, and Aamer Anwar, a Glasgow-based human rights lawyer
