meet the Save Omar walkers who will have covered 60 or so miles from Brighton at Brixton Tube at 12 noon. The route we will follow is then:
Northwards up the Brixton Road (A23), left onto Camberwell New Road and then right (continuing north) onto Kennington Park Road to the Elephant and Castle. Then take a left (now going roughly westwards) onto St George's Rood, past the Imperial War Museum and cross Lambeth Road to Westminster Bridge Road then across Westminster Bridge, around Parliament Square to the Foriegn Office on King Charles Street and finally to Downing Street.
Those greeting the walkers at Brixton tube may want to accompany them only to Westminster Bridge in order not to enter the "no protest without permission zone". Since the walkers are simply delivering a postcard (a thousand sent without any reply) and a letter to Tony Blair they feel this just a very basic democratic request for which no permission should be required.
