Binyam Mohamed is a 30 year old Ethiopian national who lived in Ladbroke Grove
for over seven years. He worked at the Muslim Cultural Heritage Centre. In 2002,
Held in Pakistan, he was subjected to appalling torture as a victim of extraordinary rendition in Morocco for 18 months. Transferred to Afghanistan and then on to Guantanamo Bay in September 2004 where he has for the past 4 years, after 6 1/2 years of illegal detention Binyam is facing trial by a military commission. The evidence against him was extracted through torture. Come and learn about the plight of a local man and see what action you can take. In the Muslim holy month of Ramadan, Binyam should be with his local community. Come and join us for an evening of reflection on his plight followed by IFTAR (post-fast meal).
