Global plea for Bay detainees

BAHRAIN yesterday joined countries across the world for a joint day of protests against the continued detention of more than 400 men - including three Bahrainis - at Guantanamo Bay.

One hundred orange balloons were released into the sky beside the United Nations (UN) House in Hoora at the demonstration, which called for the US prison facility in Cuba to be dismantled.  Read more
